Lewis Hamilton confirmed he plans to continue not using Ferrari's simulator after being encouraged by his Sprint Qualifying performance in Montreal. The Mercedes driver finished fifth on the grid while beating teammate Charles Leclerc for the first time since China, despite making a small mistake on his final run.

Hamilton explained his decision to skip simulator work was beneficial, allowing him to focus on training and make a setup choice that "transformed the car for me." His comments came after Leclerc revealed he's struggling with the brakes, hoping not to go straight into corners during a weekend where Ferrari lacks upgrades compared to Mercedes, McLaren and Red Bull.

Red Bull's Max Verstappen also faced issues, complaining his feet were slipping off pedals as the team struggled with car ride. Meanwhile, McLaren targets fast starts to exploit Mercedes' weakness in that area, with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri hoping to capitalize on the first few hundred meters of Saturday's Sprint race.
