Over 26,000 professional footballers have selected their best men's and women's teams, with 26 finalists now revealed for each. The final XI will consist of the 11 players who receive the most votes in their respective positions. The men's shortlist features English stars Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, and Declan Rice, while the women's shortlist includes seven English players: Hannah Hampton, Lucy Bronze, Alex Greenwood, Ella Toone, Aggie Beever-Jones, Chloe Kelly, and Alessia Russo.
Unsurprisingly, Lionel Messi (18) and Cristiano Ronaldo (16) lead the men's voting appearances. The women's award, launched in 2016, sees England Lioness Bronze voted in eight times. The men's XI considers performances between August 4, 2025, and July 19, 2026, while the women's window runs from August 4, 2026, to August 16, 2026.
