England have announced their two squads for a rescheduled intra-squad series in Pretoria, South Africa, replacing the original Abu Dhabi trip cancelled due to the ongoing political situation in the Middle East. The teams, named after England World Cup legends Jan Brittin and Rachael Heyhoe Flint, will give eight uncapped players a crucial opportunity to impress the England selectors ahead of the Women's Cricket World Cup. Tilly Corteen-Coleman, Jodi Grewcock, Grace Potts, Grace Scrivens, Alexa Stonehouse, Davina Perrin, Rhianna Southby and Ellie Threlkeld are the players yet to earn an England cap. Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt leads Team Brittin under coach Jon JJ Lewis, while vice-captain Charlie Dean captains Team Heyhoe Flint under Luke Williams. Head Coach Charlotte Edwards will oversee both squads.

Edwards stated this series provides a vital competitive edge for all players, whether new to the team or experienced, stating: 'This is a big opportunity for every player involved to put their hand up and demonstrate that they're an invaluable part of our World Cup plans.'.
