England begin their ODI tri-series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi, live on Sky Sports. The tournament marks the start of a packed winter schedule including Tests in South Africa and Bangladesh, plus a pink-ball Test in Australia. With key players like Jofra Archer and Gus Atkinson absent, this series offers a platform for emerging talents.
Spin bowlers such as Will Jacks, James Coles, and the recalled Mason Crane are expected to push for Test call-ups, particularly ahead of the tour of South Africa. Adil Rashid remains the leading white-ball spinner, but Crane aims to secure his spot as a long-term successor. Seam bowler Henry Crocombe, who recently earned a central contract despite no senior appearances, is highly regarded and could make his debut.
His strong red-ball record and promising ODI stats suggest he is being groomed as a multi-format option alongside Archer and Tongue. Sam Curran is also set to feature, adding depth to the bowling attack.
