Caroline Dubois has ended her partnership with renowned trainer Shane McGuigan just before her WBC lightweight title defence against Amelia Moore in Birmingham on August 29, broadcast live on Sky Sports. The split follows a successful collaboration that began in 2021, during which McGuigan guided Dubois to victories over Maira Moneo, Bo Mi Re Shin, and a title‑unifying win against Terri Harper in April.

The bout will be fought at 135lbs over ten two‑minute rounds in the bp pulse LIVE Arena, with Mikaela Mayer vs. Chantelle Cameron headline the card. Dubois expressed frustration over having to defend her titles rather than unify them after a failed negotiation with IBF champion Elif Nur Turhan.

Despite doubts, Dubois remains optimistic that a clash with Turhan will materialise and is also looking to meet WBA lightweight holder Stephanie Han. The event promises an all‑UK vs. US female fighting showcase and is a must‑watch for boxing fans on Sky Sports.

"The amount was absurd," Dubois said, reflecting on Turhan’s demands, underscoring her frustration with the current landscape of title fights.

"I’ll keep pushing," she added, signalling her determination to secure future bouts.
