Cameron stated, "She isn't intimidating me. All that yapping... just watch tomorrow." Mayer dismissed comments that she would be "too slow," retorting, "That's in your head, you're deluded." After being pulled apart, Mayer added, "I didn't know this Cameron existed, she's going to need it."

Separately, WBC and WBO lightweight champion Caroline Dubois faced Amelia Moore ahead of the co-main event. Dubois rolled her eyes at Moore's claims of handing her a first professional defeat. Despite Moore's limited professional experience, having gone through three Olympic cycles with the USA, Dubois maintained clear intentions, stating, "I told her I'm coming to take her head off." Moore, undeterred, replied, "Welcome to my world." Dubois tipped the scales at 9st 9lb, while Moore weighed 9st 8lb (61kg). Dubois looks to extend her unbeaten record to 15, having won 13 and drawn one.
