Valentine Delon, 21, became the first French winner of the Women's Amateur Championship since Celine Boutier in 2015, defeating Andrea Revuelta 3&1 at Muirfield. The Virginia Tech student's victory secures invitations to four of the next five majors.

Delon held a two-hole lead at the halfway point of the 36-hole final before Revuelta rallied to level the match. The Frenchwoman responded in strengthening winds, rebuilding a three-hole advantage and closing out the win with a par on the 35th hole.

The win grants Delon spots in the Amundi Evian Championship and AIG Women's Open next month, plus the Chevron Championship and U.S. Women's Open in 2026. She also earns entry to the Augusta National Women's Amateur, the LPGA's Portland Classic, and a Ladies European Tour event, provided she remains an amateur.

Delon joined a winners' list that includes Leona Maguire, Georgia Hall, and Anna Nordqvist — all future Solheim Cup stars. The 124th edition moves to Royal Cinque Ports in June 2027.
