The veteran tipster is backing ONLY BY NIGHT in the Mares' Chase at 16/1, believing the eight-year-old has been shaping toward this mid-range trip and could benefit from a patient ride by Keith Donoghue.

Blake is also tipping THE PASSING WIFE in the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle, interpreting her connections' bullish decision to supplement her into this Grade 1 as a strong signal of confidence. The Gavin Cromwell-trained mare was originally aimed at the Martin Pipe Handicap but will instead tackle a trip she's never tried before.

For the final race, Blake is siding with British-trained runners as usual and has settled on ACT OF AUTHORITY in the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle.
