Charlie Edwards faces Sikho Nqothole in an IBF super-flyweight final eliminator at York Hall on Friday, with the Briton eyeing a second world title. The 33-year-old became WBC flyweight champion in 2018 but vacated the belt in 2019 to move up in weight.

Edwards lost to Andrew Cain last year but bounced back with a win over Salvador Juarez to earn this opportunity. "It would mean the world to me, probably even more so than the first time around because they say it's hard to get to the top of the mountain once but trust me, it's even harder to get there twice," he told Sky Sports. Training has gone great—his best camp yet working with trainer Stephen Smith.

The South African challenger brings 21 wins with 13 knockouts, though Edwards refuses to overlook him. "He's a good fighter. I think anyone in the top 10 is a good fighter," Edwards said. A win sets up a potential title shot against the IBF champion in Japan on June 6. "No matter how much step aside money Eddie Hearn will try and pay if they are trying to come down, I will not be taking it."

Edwards, who has ADHD, dyslexia and mild autism, feels better positioned to handle championship pressures now than at 25. "I'm four years sober now. That was the best decision I ever made in my life," he said. "I'm a man with experience now and I understand the game."
