Celtic have secured Czech striker Tomas Cvancara on loan from Borussia Monchengladbach until season's end. The 25-year-old becomes the club's second January signing, following Julian Araujo's arrival. The deal includes an option to make the move permanent for a reported £7 million.

Manager Martin O'Neill described the 6ft 2in forward as quick and agile rather than a traditional target man. Cvancara scored eight goals in two seasons with Gladbach before a brief loan at Antalyaspor was cut short. He joins a Celtic side chasing the Scottish Premiership title.

Cvancara expressed his excitement at joining "one of the great names in world football." His arrival provides depth in attack as Celtic face a busy schedule. Fans will watch closely to see if he can adapt quickly and contribute to the title push, with his first potential appearance against Hearts this Sunday.
