Celtic have announced the signing of winger Haissem Hassan from Real Oviedo in a potential £9m move. The Egypt international had his medical in London and signed a four-year contract with an option for a further year. The initial fee is around £6m with £3m in add-ons, a significant portion tied to Celtic reaching the Champions League league phase this month.\n\nHassan can still be registered for the Champions League play-off against LASK Linz next week; the deadline is Thursday.

The 24-year-old impressed at this summer's World Cup and is a left-footed right-winger. He made 38 appearances for Real Oviedo last season, contributing three assists.\n\nHassan had been a long-term target for the Hoops, who were actively seeking a left-footed right-winger in this window. He is Celtic's third summer signing following strikers Camilo Duran and Kasper Hogh.
