Carlos Alcaraz will step onto the hallowed turf of Real Madrid's Bernabeu Stadium as the venue prepares to host a temporary clay practice court for the Madrid Open from April 23-30. The 22-year-old, a lifelong Real Madrid fan who has won the tournament twice, sees this as a realization of a long-held dream. The Bernabeu, increasingly used as a multi-sport arena beyond football, will offer players a unique experience, though sessions will be closed to fans unlike the main Caja Magica training hub.

Tournament chief Gerard Tsobanian hailed the collaboration as elevating the event to a unique category among the best tournaments. The Bernabeu's transformation into a versatile venue continues, following its hosting of the NFL and Taylor Swift, enabled by its $1 billion retractable pitch system allowing clay court installation atop its concrete base.
