Cameron Menzies has revealed he has lost feeling in his fingers after punching a table following his World Darts Championship defeat to Charlie Manby in December. The Scotsman underwent surgery for his injuries and couldn't throw for six weeks, describing the incident as a "massive mistake" he has to live with.

Menzies, who looked visibly upset while congratulating Manby after their 3-2 match, was taken to hospital after the outburst. He later apologized publicly, citing his uncle's death as mental strain leading up to the incident. The Poland Darts Open marks his first tournament since the injury.

Despite ongoing hand treatment and no feeling in one side of his fingers, Menzies secured a 6-4 victory against Ritchie Edhouse in his return match. "I was so close to pulling out this weekend," he admitted, revealing he's "not enjoying it at the moment" but found some love for the game again after the win. The 31-year-old will face James Wade in the next round as he continues his comeback.
