Cadillac’s GM‑backed entry took its 2026 car onto the Silverstone pit straight on Friday, completing a brief shakedown in damp conditions. A social‑media clip showed the Ferrari‑powered machine accelerating, marking the first on‑track appearance of both the new chassis and Ferrari’s revised 2026 engine for the upcoming rule set.

Cadillac follows Audi as the second newcomer to finish a shakedown before the three‑week pre‑season testing window, which opens at Barcelona on Jan. 26. The squad fields veterans Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez, while reserve driver Zhou Guanyu appeared in the garage footage, underscoring GM’s commitment to experienced talent.

Next stops include two Bahrain tests in February, after which Cadillac will unveil its final livery at the Super Bowl. As F1’s 11th team and the first grid addition since Haas in 2016, the project tests GM’s ability to compete under the new regulations, with the season kicking off at the Australian Grand Prix in March.
