Cadillac F1 removed Graeme Lowdon as team principal one week before the Zandvoort race, replacing him with former Alpine chief Marcin Budkowski. CEO Dan Towriss said the change came sooner than planned to seize a "narrow window of opportunity" for building an innovative team structure, denying it was driven by recent on-track struggles.

New boss Budkowski identified fixing reliability as "very, very urgent," citing overheating brakes that limited the MAC-26 to just one two-car finish in the seven races before the summer break. He emphasized that reliability failures prevent the team from gathering crucial race data needed to validate upgrades.

Towriss expressed strong confidence that Sergio Perez will remain with Cadillac through 2027 despite links to Williams, calling the veteran a "tremendous asset." While not ruling out future younger drivers like Ferrari-backed Rafael Camara, Towriss confirmed no changes are planned for the current experienced duo of Perez and Valtteri Bottas.

Budkowski, returning to a front-line F1 role after four years, brings experience from the FIA, Renault, and Alpine. Backed by General Motors, Cadillac aims to progress up the grid with Budkowski's regulatory and technical expertise guiding their development.
