Bromley secured automatic promotion to League One for the first time in their history with two games remaining, confirming their elevation after Notts County's defeat. The Ravens held a commanding seven-point lead over fourth-placed Salford despite recent setbacks including a loss to MK Dons and a draw with Cambridge.

Founded in 1892, Bromley took 132 years to reach the EFL before storming through League Two in just their second season. Manager Andy Woodman, who has led the club since 2021, has been instrumental in their remarkable rise after winning the National League play-off final in 2024 to reach the Football League.

Sky Sports' EFL Editor Simeon Gholam described their achievement as "success achieved with graft, togetherness and endeavour," while Dave Edwards called it "a real Cinderella story." The south-east London club with its modest 6,000-capacity Hayes Lane ground has created something special through identity and collective effort.
