Brighton and Hove Albion have unveiled plans for Europe’s first purpose‑built women’s football stadium. The new ground, set at Bennett's Field beside the Amex Stadium, aims to give the women’s side a permanent home and boost fan growth. Designed with a minimum capacity of 10,000, the club envisions a bridge linking the two sites.

The proposal includes state‑of‑the‑tier facilities: dedicated changing rooms, a top‑tier pitch, and recovery suites that will support elite female players. Match‑day hospitality will welcome families, featuring breastfeeding rooms, baby‑changing areas and ‘buggy parks’. An underground car park and social concourse spaces round out the fan experience.

Manager Dario Vidosic said a bespoke stadium signals Brighton’s serious intent to compete consistently in the Women’s Super League and European contests. Owner Tony Bloom backs the project, which originally targeted a 2027‑28 opening but now aims for the 2030‑31 season after land‑search setbacks.

The club will also use the venue for academy and development fixtures, giving younger players exposure to a professional environment. With most WSL teams now sharing men’s grounds, Brighton’s move to a dedicated women’s stadium marks a historic step toward equality and long‑term growth for the sport across England.
