Southern Brave men's team secured their first win in The Hundred after a dramatic late flourish to defend 128 against Birmingham Phoenix. The victory, their first in four attempts, keeps them in contention for knockout stages and draws them level with the Phoenix.

Phoenix faltered in their chase after a solid start, losing three quick wickets that shifted the momentum. Key dismissals included Will Smeed, Rehan Ahmed, and captain Donovan Ferreira, leaving Phoenix at 65-4. A brief rebuild was halted by further wickets, with Phoenix losing five wickets in just 30 balls.

Marcus Stoinis was instrumental, contributing 34 with the bat and bowling a crucial spell that stifled Phoenix's progress. In the final overs, Jofra Archer and Luke Wood delivered under pressure, with Wood taking two wickets and a run-out sealing a 12-run victory for the Brave.
