Leeds Rhinos confirmed head coach Brad Arthur has signed a two-year extension, keeping him at AMT Headingley through the end of the 2028 Betfred Super League season. Arthur, 52, took the reins in July 2024 for ten games, steered the side to eighth place and then to a fourth‑place finish in 2025. Leeds sit atop the table after a 24‑16 win over St Helens.

Club sporting director Ian Blease praised Arthur’s impact, citing the coach’s professionalism, work ethic and the culture he has fostered. Blease said the extension secures a leader capable of building a squad that can challenge for major honours. The Rhinos’ recent surge has revived a fan base hungry for silverware after several lean seasons, and a renewed sense of ambition.

With Leeds leading the league and a stable coaching contract in place, the club can focus on nurturing young talent and strengthening its roster ahead of the 2026 Magic Weekend and the playoffs. Arthur’s continued tenure provides the continuity needed to turn early‑season form into a championship push this year, while maintaining the high standards set last season.
