Leeds Rhinos moved two points clear at the top of Super League with a 42-12 victory over Yorkshire rivals Bradford Bulls at Headingley. James Mc Donnell scored twice on his 100th Super League appearance as the Rhinos bounced back from their defeat to Castleford Tigers.

Leeds scored seven tries through Mc Donnell, Kallum Watkins, Jarrod O'Connor, Brodie Croft, Tom Holroyd, Cooper Jenkins and Jake Connor, who kicked seven conversions. However, the Rhinos suffered a major blow when leading try-scorer Maika Sivo was forced off with a suspected broken forearm, with coach Brad Arthur confirming a potential six to eight-week absence.

Bradford, who led early through Guy Armitage's try, slipped to a sixth defeat in seven matches. Ethan Ryan scored on his 200th career appearance, but individual errors proved costly. Bulls coach Kurt Haggerty admitted his side "gifted" Leeds many opportunities.

Arthur praised his team's resilience but noted they could play with more control. The win extends Leeds' lead at the summit as they aim to maintain their strong start to the season.
