West Ham’s captain, Jarrod Bowen, said he will stay with the club after its 15‑year Premier League spell ended in May. He signed a new deal on 17 July that keeps him at the club until 2030.

Bowen, who played all but two games last season and scored nine goals with eleven assists, explained that his decision was about the club’s ambition and his own future. He met with owner Daniel Kretinsky in Prague and insisted family pressure was minimal.

He reflected on the disappointment of missing England’s 2026 World Cup squad and the tough week of relegation, but remains focused on promotion. Bowen has Championship experience from Hull, where he scored 52 goals in 117 games.

West Ham will lose key players Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville this summer, but Bowen says the team’s unity and determination will drive them back to the top flight.
