Gareth Bale headlined Wednesday's BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am, while Rory McIlroy shot a stunning 12-under 60. McIlroy's team, including Sam Quek, Stuart Broad and Calum Nicholas, won the morning Pro-Am by seven strokes.

Bale, a 1.1 handicap, was joined by former footballers John Terry, Eden Hazard and Robbie Fowler. He backed Tottenham and Roberto De Zerbi to improve, saying: "Sometimes it takes a bit of time to get them to settle in." Bale's group with Ludvig Åberg, Brian Lara and Joe Hart finished 15th at 23 under.

The afternoon session ended tied at 36 under between JJ Spaun's team and Eugenio Chacarra's team. Joe Hart called Manchester City's derby performance "exceptional" and backed them to push Arsenal in the title race.

McLaren F1 CEO Zak Brown played alongside Justin Rose, finishing fifth, with Lando Norris supporting. McIlroy, still working on his swing, dazzled with his 60.
