The BMW PGA Championship is a flagship DP World Tour event, first held in 1955 and hosted annually at Wentworth Club in Surrey, England, each September. Alex Noren returns as defending champion after defeating Adrien Saddier in a play-off last year.

Big names set to tee up include two-time Masters champion Rory McIlroy, who won in 2014 and hopes to improve on a tied-41st finish at the Amgen Irish Open. Patrick Reed, the 2018 Masters champion, leads the Race to Dubai Rankings after leaving LIV Golf and finishing tied-second at the Irish Open. Shane Lowry won the BMW PGA Championship in 2022 and recently secured an 11-shot victory at the Amgen Irish Open.

Englishmen Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Rose can also impress. Fleetwood has four top-five PGA Tour finishes this season, including tied-fourth at The Open. Rose won the Farmers Insurance Open and finished tied-third at The Masters.

Jon Rahm is one of multiple LIV Golf players expected to feature.
