Harvey Dykes, the unbeaten English heavyweight, has taken leave from his binman job to pursue a life-changing opportunity against former Olympic medalist Ivan Dychko. The 30-year-old southpaw accepted the 10-round fight just 12 days ago for Saturday's Zuffa Boxing show at Bournemouth International Centre, live on Sky Sports.

Dychko, a six-foot-nine Kazak knockout specialist, boasts an impressive amateur career beating notable names like Hrgovic and Zhilei Zhang. Dykes has gone the distance in all seven professional victories but expects a tough test against the 35-year-old, who lost his unbeaten pro record to Jermaine Franklin in September.

"I'm not saying I'm not afraid of him, it's just my character," Dykes stated. "I'm just a local bin man but I've never feared a man." The Brighton Boxing Academy founder sees this as his biggest career opportunity, adding "I want to surprise a lot of people" as he aims to extend his unbeaten record against a former Olympic medalist.
