The former cruiserweight world champion warned a rude awakening awaits whoever comes second best in what is widely regarded as the biggest fight in British boxing history.

While a provisional contract is understood signed, date and venue remain unconfirmed. Bellew insists the blockbuster must happen on British soil but concedes financial backers have ultimate say. Bellew understands Joshua's need for rounds after his fifth-round knockout loss to Daniel Dubois in December 2024, but questions why Fury feels he needs another bout after beating Arslanbek Makhmudov in April 2026.
