Boxing legend Barry McGuigan has hailed Ellie Scotney as a 'phenomenal' talent ahead of her bid for all four major super-bantamweight world titles. Scotney faces Mexico's Mayelli Flores at London's Olympia on April 5, live on Sky Sports, with victory making her Britain's youngest undisputed champion in the four-belt era.

McGuigan, whose son Shane trains Scotney, emphasized her remarkable achievements in just 11 professional fights. The Catford fighter has already claimed the European championship and unified the WBC, WBO and IBF titles, always defeating reigning champions rather than winning vacant belts. 'People are overlooking how good she is,' McGuigan told Sky Sports News.

Despite her perfect record, Scotney has yet to score a stoppage, winning every fight on points through 'meticulous combinations' and relentless pressure. McGuigan expects Flores to provide a stern test, describing the WBA champion as strong, tough and forward-moving. 'It won't be an easy fight,' he said, though predicting Scotney will prevail. The April 5 card also features Caroline Dubois defending her WBC lightweight title against Terri Harper.
