Aaron Collins' Injury Comeback Fuels MK Dons Promotion Push

MK Dons striker Aaron Collins has overcome a series of injuries to play a pivotal role in the club's push for promotion from League Two. The forward, who joined from Bolton for a reported £800,000 club-record fee, suffered a broken shoulder on his debut in August 2024, followed by a hamstring injury that kept him sidelined for two months.

Collins' resilience was tested further when he sustained an ankle ligament injury in February 2025, initially feared to require surgery. However, the 26-year-old returned after just 10 days out, determined to make up for lost time. His determination has paid off, with the striker rediscovering his form and becoming a key focal point in Paul Warne's attack.

With two games remaining, MK Dons are on the brink of ending their three-season stay in League Two - the longest in the club's short history. Collins, who previously won promotion with Bristol Rovers in 2021/22, is eager to celebrate this achievement with his teammates. "Being involved in a promotion with 25 to 30 lads is a feeling you cherish forever," he said, reflecting on the importance of this campaign despite spending nearly half the season injured.
