Portugal star Vitinha has expressed hope that Cristiano Ronaldo and national team coach Jorge Jesus can resolve their dispute, paving the way for the veteran forward's return to the squad.
The midfielder's comments come as the outcome of the disagreement between the player and the coach remains unclear. Ronaldo's absence has been closely watched by fans and pundits, given his status as the country's most celebrated and record-breaking player.
Vitinha, who has become an important figure in the current Portugal setup, made clear that he would welcome Ronaldo back into the fold. His desire for reconciliation reflects a broader feeling within the squad that the team benefits from its most experienced attacker.
For now, the focus remains on whether the two sides can find common ground. Any resolution would be seen as a significant moment for Portugal as they look to compete at the highest level, with Ronaldo's experience and goal-scoring record still considered valuable assets.
