The United States men's national team will establish its training headquarters at Great Park in Irvine, California, for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. U.S. Soccer announced the selection of the 1,300-acre complex, which includes the Championship Soccer Stadium that seats over 5,000 spectators. The team will arrive in Irvine after facing Germany in a June 6 friendly.

Great Park offers an ideal location for the USMNT's World Cup preparations, providing easy access to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood for matches against Paraguay on June 11 and a yet-to-be-determined opponent on June 25. The team's group stage schedule also includes a match against Australia in Seattle on June 19. The facilities mirror those used in Qatar 2022, with enhanced gym equipment and dedicated medical spaces at the team hotel.

The selection brings significant benefits to the Irvine community through U.S. Soccer's Soccer Forward Foundation. The initiative will partner with local organizations to deliver coaching development programs in April, equipping local coaches with training tools to support youth development. Mayor Larry Agran expressed pride in welcoming the USMNT and international supporters to Irvine for this global sporting event.
