Thomas Tuchel said England "were the biggest danger to ourselves" against Spain due to individual mistakes but insisted he is not worried about the team's defensive record. The Three Lions are in Prague ahead of Tuesday's Nations League clash with Czechia, aiming to bounce back from Saturday's 3-2 home defeat to the world champions at Wembley. Both Marc Guéhi and Nico O'Reilly made errors leading to goals as Spain extended their unbeaten run to 39 matches.

England have kept just four clean sheets in their last 13 games. They were the joint-top scorers at this summer's World Cup along with France -- the pair played out a chaotic third-place game in Miami which England won 6-4 -- but also conceded the most (12) alongside Iraq and Tunisia. Winners Spain, by contrast, let in just one goal during the entire tournament.

Asked if England's defending was a cause for concern, Tuchel said on Monday: "Not yet, not yet but the last two matches were 6-4 against France and 2-3 against Spain. That in itself is seven goals in two matches, very unusual. It is not a concern yet." He added: "I felt in terms of organised defending, block defending and active defending to not spending too much time in a low block, pushing out into a middle block pushing out into a high press was on a very good level, a higher level than many other matches."

"We suffered clearly from individual mistakes when we had the ball, especially in the deep build-up. Of course, that is something we cannot repeat, especially not at this kind of level. We have to take care about this. We have to be technically absolutely clinical also under pressure." O'Reilly and Ezri Konsa did not train with the rest of the squad prior to their flight from London and Tuchel suggested both have "minor issues" which will be assessed on Tuesday morning. Defeat against Czechia would leave England with an uphill battle to reach the Nations League quarter-finals but Tuchel rejected the notion Tuesday's game was a 'must-win.'
