Tottenham Hotspur have completed a club-record £85 million ($112m) transfer for West Ham midfielder Mateus Fernandes, according to ESPN sources. The 21-year-old becomes the north London club's fifth summer signing, with the fee surpassing their previous record of £65m paid for Dominic Solanke in 2024.

West Ham maintained their valuation despite relegation to the Championship, while Tottenham outbid Manchester United for the player's signature. Southampton will receive 15% of the transfer fee as part of the original deal that brought him to West Ham.
