The New England Revolution announced Monday it has extended the loan of Matt Turner from Lyon through the end of 2026, with an option to further extend through 2027 and acquire his contract outright. Revolution GM Chris Tierney said the club is thrilled to keep Turner in New England colors for years to come.

Turner, the 2021 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year, just completed his second World Cup with the USMNT, playing 90 minutes in a 3-2 defeat to Türkiye. He has made 55 appearances for the national team since his 2021 debut.

This marks Turner's second stint with the Revs after rejoining on loan last August. He made his MLS debut with New England in 2018 following a loan to Richmond Kickers, and was part of the 2021 Supporters' Shield-winning side. Turner has also played for Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, and Crystal Palace, amassing over 190 career club appearances.
