Mohamed Salah is reportedly in discussions to join Turkish club Trabzonspor after his departure from Liverpool. The club announced that Salah would travel to Istanbul and then to Trabzon, with reports suggesting a two-year contract has been agreed upon. Salah, 34, has been a free agent since leaving Liverpool this summer.

During his nine seasons at Anfield, Salah scored 257 goals in 442 appearances, securing numerous titles including the Premier League and Champions League. He had also been linked with moves to MLS and Saudi Arabia, with rivals Besiktas also making an offer.

Trabzonspor finished third in the Turkish Super Lig last season, qualifying for the UEFA Europa League. Salah's recent form and public comments regarding his relationship with Liverpool management, including former manager Arne Slot, have been noted. Despite a dip in performance last season, he had previously been a top scorer in the Premier League four times.
