Jorge Jesus: My Only Goal at Al Nassr Is Titles for Ronaldo

Jorge Jesus stated his sole purpose in joining Al Nassr was to help Cristiano Ronaldo win trophies in Saudi Arabia. The Portuguese manager, who guided rivals Al Hilal to a domestic treble, accepted the challenge last summer with one clear objective. Al Nassr lead the Saudi Pro League by two points heading into the final matchday against Damac.

Ronaldo, 41, has scored 100 league goals since his December 2022 move from Manchester United. Despite his personal output, he has lost four finals with Al Nassr, claiming only the unofficial 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup. The club itself has not won the league title since 2019.

Jesus framed the season as his most difficult project, citing his prior role in building Al Hilal's super team. Al Nassr fell 1-0 to Gamba Osaka in the AFC Asian Champions League Two final on Saturday. With the domestic title decider now set, Jesus confirmed the league championship is the singular, non-negotiable target for the club and its iconic forward.
