Inter Miami will keep Guillermo Hoyos as head coach when MLS resumes after the World Cup, sources confirmed to ESPN. Hoyos took over in April from Javier Mascherano, transitioning from his sporting director role. The club communicated their full support to him weeks ago, ending speculation about potential changes.

Hoyos has delivered impressive results with a 6W-1L-1D record through eight matches, collecting 19 of 24 available points while the team scored 26 goals. This marks the best start for any Inter Miami coach through eight games since the club entered MLS in 2020. His tactical approach has transformed the team's performance significantly.

The Argentine brings deep connections to South Florida, having worked with Lionel Messi over two decades ago at Barcelona's La Masia academy. Hoyos also brings international experience from coaching roles in Liga MX and other global leagues. His player relationships and communication style have created positive chemistry within the squad.

Despite recent links to Pep Guardiola, Inter Miami has not pursued other managerial candidates. The focus remains on Hoyos' project, with Miami's first post-break match scheduled for July 22 against Chicago Fire at home.
