Harry Kane Lifts Bayern Past Elversberg in Bundesliga Clash

Harry Kane scored the winner for Bayern Munich to claim a 2-1 win over SV Elversberg in the Bundesliga on Sunday. Lennart Karl opened the scoring for Bayern with a close-range finish, but Maurice Krattenmacher brought the hosts back on level terms in the second half. Kane then restored Bayern's advantage with 18 minutes of normal time left to help the team return to winning ways in the Bundesliga following a goalless draw with Schalke last Saturday.

It was Kane's 99th Bundesliga goal in 97 matches. Victory sends Vincent Kompany's side into fourth in the standings, while Elversberg drop into sixth. Elversberg entered the match ahead of Bayern in the table after stunning two former champions: Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach.

Bayern boss Kompany then made a quadruple substitution and Luis Díaz nearly made an impact from the bench, but his backheel was held by Kristof. Bayern went back in front in the 72nd minute when Pavlovic picked out Kane in the box and the striker blasted a shot past Kristof to score his first Bundesliga goal of the campaign. Kane had a header saved by Kristof, who also tipped Joshua Kimmich's effort over before Bayern saw out the win.
