The plaintiff's attorney Rachel-Flore Pardo welcomed the trial order "with relief," calling it "fully consistent with the evidence in the file."

Hakimi was given preliminary charges of rape in March 2023, a step in the French legal system where judges suspect a crime was committed but allow time for further investigation. The case has sparked broader discussions about accountability in men's professional football, with Pardo noting "environments where the Me Too movement has yet to break the sound barrier." PSG coach Luis Enrique declined to comment on whether the case affects Hakimi's role as vice captain, stating only that "this is in the hands of the justice system."
