FIFA said Thursday that the decision on whether Morocco or Spain hosts the 2030 World Cup final will be made "in due course," after Morocco Football Federation president **Fouzi Lakjaa** claimed it would be at the Grand Stade Hassan II in **Casablanca**. FIFA has yet to announce the host. On Aug. 5, FIFA denied promising Morocco the final in exchange for support for president **Gianni Infantino** in next March's elections.

Lakjaa told a rally that **Benslimane** would host the final. Spanish federation head **Rafael Louzán** insisted Spain deserved it. European officials believe the multination 2030 event should be European with the final on the continent. Besides Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay will host opening matches.

The dispute comes as Infantino faces pressure after UEFA scuttled his plan to sell World Cup stakes. Six Arab federations, including Morocco's, have backed him. The **Hassan II Stadium** in Benslimane will seat 115,000. Spain can offer Real Madrid's Bernabéu or Barcelona's Camp Nou.
