Premier League side Crystal Palace has signed 19-year-old American wing-back Zavier Gozo from Real Salt Lake on a five-year contract. Gozo, a current member of the U.S. youth national team, expressed excitement about joining the club, citing the project and recent success as motivating factors. The transfer fee was reported to be around $15 million (£11.1 million).

Club chairman Steve Parish praised Gozo as an exciting young talent. This year, Gozo recorded six goals and five assists across 16 regular season appearances for Real Salt Lake, and also played in the MLS All-Star Game. Gozo will join new manager Pierre Sage, who was hired in June, replacing Oliver Glasner.

He becomes the second American on Crystal Palace's roster, alongside Chris Richards, who is entering his fifth season with the club.
