Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. Trains with Real Madrid Academy

Cristiano Ronaldo's eldest son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., has trained with Real Madrid's under-16 team this week while the family is in Madrid, sources told ESPN. The 15-year-old, who plays for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia alongside his father, joined the 'Cadete A' side for training sessions during this period of uncertainty in the Middle East.

Ronaldo Sr. is recovering from a hamstring injury suffered last month in the Saudi Pro League, which has kept him out of Portugal's recent friendlies against the United States and Mexico. Real Madrid opened its doors to their former player's son as a courtesy during this recovery period. The football legend, Madrid's all-time record scorer with 16 trophies between 2009 and 2018, traveled to the Spanish capital after doctors discovered the injury was "more serious" than initially thought.

While sources say it's too early to determine if this training stint could lead to a future academy signing, another source wouldn't entirely rule out a possible move to Real Madrid. However, reports on Ronaldo Jr.'s abilities remain mixed. The teenager currently plays for Al Nassr's youth setup in Riyadh, where the family resides during Ronaldo Sr.'s contract with the Saudi club.
