Cristó Fernández, the actor who portrayed Dani Rojas in the beloved TV series Ted Lasso, is testing his soccer skills with USL Championship side El Paso Locomotive FC. The 35-year-old former player, sidelined by a career-ending knee injury at age 15, logged half an hour in Locomotive's recent 3-2 victory over New Mexico United. This trial follows earlier appearances with Chicago Fire II and Forward Madison FC, where he reportedly scored.

While no official contract is confirmed, the club's coaching staff, led by Junior Gonzalez, will decide soon whether to sign the actor-turned-player. Fernández's attempt represents a remarkable return to the sport he once pursued professionally before turning to acting at university.
