Real Oviedo captain Santi Cazorla has launched a scathing critique of LaLiga following the postponement of his team's match against Rayo Vallecano. The game was called off just hours before kickoff due to safety concerns over the pitch at Vallecas Stadium. Cazorla, who spent six years at Arsenal winning two FA Cups, took to social media to express his frustration.

Oviedo had already traveled to Madrid with fans in attendance when LaLiga made the late decision. The club criticized the short notice and indicated it may pursue legal action against the league. Cazorla's comments highlight growing tensions between Spanish football authorities and clubs over match scheduling and infrastructure standards.

The 41-year-old midfielder, who rejoined his boyhood club Oviedo in 2023 and helped secure promotion last season, described LaLiga as being "light years away from the Premier League in every sense." His remarks come as Oviedo struggles at the bottom of the standings with just three wins in 22 games this season.
