Bayern Munich are in 'intensive talks' with Harry Kane over his future, according to sporting director Max Eberl, though no formal negotiations have begun. The England captain has scored 24 Bundesliga goals this season, making him Europe's leading league scorer. Kane joined Bayern from Tottenham in 2023 for £100 million and is under contract until 2027.

While Eberl stressed nothing has been agreed, Bayern maintain regular dialogue with the 32-year-old striker who has netted 123 goals in 129 appearances. Kane has been linked with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia should he choose not to extend his stay with the Bundesliga champions. The club's sporting director emphasized they are in close contact regarding both Kane and the team's success.

Kane recently scored two penalties in Bayern's 5-1 victory over Hoffenheim, keeping them six points clear at the top of the Bundesliga. Manager Vincent Kompany acknowledged the challenge posed by RB Leipzig in their upcoming DFB Pokal quarter-final, noting their attacking prowess while emphasizing Bayern's own firepower. The reigning champions thrashed Leipzig 6-0 earlier this season and won 5-1 in their most recent meeting last month.
