Severe weather forced Barcelona to train in Madrid ahead of their Copa del Rey semifinal against Atlético Madrid. High winds caused structural damage to the club's Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper training ground, including the collapse of a wall and perimeter fencing. The team had already adjusted plans to fly to Madrid a day early due to the dangerous conditions.

No injuries were reported from the training ground damage, though more than 60 people were hurt across Catalonia as winds reached over 100 km/h (62 mph). Construction work on the exterior of Camp Nou was also halted for safety reasons. The club confirmed teams were on site to secure the area and assess the damage.

Barcelona's early arrival in Madrid validated their decision as many flights and trains from Barcelona were cancelled. The LaLiga leaders now prepare for Thursday's first leg at the Wanda Metropolitano, looking to gain an advantage before the return match at Camp Nou on March 3. The extreme weather conditions have disrupted not just Barcelona's preparations but the entire region's infrastructure.
