Barcelona's squad spending limit has increased by nearly €100 million to €433 million, LaLiga announced, significantly improving the Spanish champions' ability to invest in new players this summer. The Catalan club's new cap represents an €82 million increase from the start of the season and brings fresh hope for reinforcements despite still operating above their financial threshold.

Real Madrid maintain the highest spending limit in LaLiga at €761 million, followed by Atlético Madrid at €336 million. Villarreal, Athletic Club, Levante, Sevilla, and Getafe round out the top and bottom of the spending rankings. The league's squad cost limits determine the maximum clubs can spend on first-team players, coaching staff, and youth teams.

Barcelona remains over its spending limit with annual squad costs exceeding €500 million, but the club is getting closer to breaking even. During the current electoral period, all three presidential candidates have claimed Barcelona will be positioned to make signings by summer. Joan Laporta, seeking reelection, believes the team's return to Spotify Camp Nou will boost spending capacity, while other candidates are already exploring potential recruits.
