Ruben Amorim has reflected on his tenure as Manchester United manager, admitting he made errors during his 14-month spell at Old Trafford. Speaking at his unveiling as AC Milan's new head coach, Amorim stated he learned significantly from his time in the Premier League, which concluded with his dismissal in January.

Amorim, who took over in November 2024, struggled to improve United's performance, leading them to a 15th-place finish and a Europa League final loss. Despite the team being sixth at the time of his sacking, his tactical approach and limited use of academy players drew criticism. His record of 25 wins from 63 games, with a Premier League points-per-game average of 1.23, was the lowest for any United manager in the competition's history.

Amorim has signed a three-year contract with AC Milan, replacing Massimiliano Allegri. He expressed pride in having coached Manchester United fans and believes his past experiences will make him a better coach moving forward.
