Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki captured the Frank J. Selke Trophy as the league’s top two‑way forward, earning 151 first‑place votes out of 198 ballots. The honor makes him the third Habs player, after Guy Carbonneau and Bob Gainey, to win the award. Suzuki’s 29 goals and 72 assists propelled him past the 100‑point mark for the first time. He also earned an Olympic silver.

In the same ceremony winger Cole Caufield secured the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy, recognized for sportsmanship and high‑level play. Caufield posted 51 goals, 88 points and only 14 penalty minutes in 81 games, earning 45 first‑place votes ahead of veteran Anze Kopitar. He joins Mats Naslund and Toe Blake as the third Habs to claim the award.

Suzuki’s two‑way dominance helped Montreal clinch a playoff spot for the first time since 2020‑21, while Caufield’s disciplined output reinforced the team’s offensive depth. Both awards were voted by the Professional Hockey Writers Association, underscoring the league‑wide respect earned by the pair. Their achievements cement the Canadiens’ resurgence as a contender in the Eastern Conference for the 2025‑26 campaign.
