Leo Carlsson scored and assisted on the game-winner as the Anaheim Ducks snapped a five-game losing streak with a 5-4 win over the Philadelphia Flyers. The 21-year-old center, who was the target of a historic $90 million offer sheet from Philadelphia in July, now leads the Ducks in scoring with 13 points. Carlsson, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 draft, has improved every season, recording 67 points last season.
The Ducks matched the offer sheet, keeping Carlsson through 2030-31, while Philadelphia retained four first-round picks. The rivalry between the teams has intensified following multiple trades involving Cutter Gauthier, Jamie Drysdale, and Trevor Zegras.
