The Seattle Kraken secured two-year contract extensions with forwards Ben Meyers and Ryan Winterton on Tuesday. General manager Jason Botterill expressed satisfaction with retaining both players who have contributed to the team's depth during the current season.

Meyers, 27, has recorded five goals and six assists in 31 games with Seattle this season while also spending time with the AHL's Coachella Valley Firebirds. The versatile forward has been sidelined since January 27 with a lower-body injury.

Winterton, 22, has established himself with a career-high 54 games this season, setting personal bests with three goals and 12 assists. The young forward has shown significant growth from his previous 19 games with the Kraken over the past two seasons.

These extensions reflect the Kraken's strategy of developing young talent while maintaining experienced depth. Botterill specifically praised Meyers' versatility and passion, along with Winterton's improved speed and two-way game that helped him secure a regular role with the team.
