Forward Chase Stillman has agreed to a one-year, two-way contract with the Detroit Red Wings worth $850,000 at the NHL level. The 23-year-old, a 2021 first-round pick by the New Jersey Devils, was not tendered a qualifying offer by the Vancouver Canucks, making him a free agent.

Stillman has spent his professional career exclusively in the AHL, accumulating 18 goals and 40 points in 105 games across stints with the affiliates of the Devils, Canucks, and Pittsburgh Penguins. His father, Cory Stillman, is a two-time Stanley Cup champion.

This signing provides the Red Wings with organizational depth at forward. Stillman will need to impress during training camp to earn an NHL roster spot and prove he can translate his AHL production to the highest level.
